Furniture Reupholstery & Restoration
Reviving cherished furniture in Cannock since 1946. Master craftsmen restoring your sofas and chairs to better-than-new condition.
Don't Replace It—Revive It
Quality furniture is built to last, but even the best frames outlive their fabric. Instead of throwing away a perfectly good sofa, our reupholstery service allows you to keep the comfort you love while transforming the look.
We don’t just recover your furniture; we rebuild it. From stripping back to the bare frame to replacing worn springs and padding, we ensure your piece feels as good as it looks. It is the sustainable, cost-effective way to update your home.

Honest Assessments & Master Craftsmanship
Not every piece of furniture is worth recovering, and we will be honest with you if it’s not. But for quality frames, our Cannock workshop is where the magic happens.
You are welcome to visit and see our team at work. Watch as we strip down tired furniture, repair solid hard and soft wood frames, and prepare them for a fresh lease of life using the same glue-stapled techniques we use on our bespoke pieces.
The Ralvern Standard: British Made Furniture
Complete Restoration
We strip your furniture right back to the frame. We check for damage, tighten joints, and replace worn webbings or springs with traditional hand-tied coils to restore that "new sofa" bounce.
Better Than New Comfort
Over time, seat cushions lose their shape. We replace old interiors with premium high-density foam, fibre, or feather fillings, tailored to the exact firmness you prefer.
Infinite Design Choice
Update your style with thousands of fabrics. Choose hard-wearing, stain-resistant weaves from Cristina Marrone and Ross, or indulge in luxury patterns from Linwood, Jim Dickens, and Art of the Loom.
Our Reupholstery Process
1. Assessment & Quote
Send us a photo or bring your piece to our showroom. We’ll assess the frame and fabric meterage to give you an accurate price.
2. Collection
Our team collects your furniture from your home, handling it with care and transporting it safely to our workshop.
3. Stripping & Repair
We remove the old fabric and fillings, inspect the frame, and carry out any necessary repairs to the wood or springs.
4. Reupholstery
Your chosen fabric is pattern-matched, cut, and expertly fitted by our master upholsterers using traditional finishing methods.
5. Return Delivery
We deliver your transformed furniture back to you, ready to enjoy for many more years.
Coordinating Soft Furnishings
A reupholstery project is the perfect time to refresh your entire room. We can create matching scatter cushions, arm caps, and throws to complement your newly restored sofa.
We also offer a full curtain making service, allowing you to coordinate your window dressings with your new upholstery fabric for a seamless interior design look.
Common Questions About Our Reupholstery Service
Is it worth reupholstering my sofa?
If your sofa has a solid hardwood frame, it is almost always worth reupholstering. You get a better quality result than buying a cheap modern replacement, often for a comparable price.
Can you change the style of my sofa?
Yes, to an extent. We can alter the shape of arms, remove skirts to show wooden legs, or change cushion configurations (e.g., from two cushions to one long bench seat) to modernise the look.
How do I get a quote?
The easiest way is to email us a photo of your furniture. We can usually give you an accurate estimate of the cost and the amount of fabric required just from a picture.
